Questions
Questions people often ask first
Medical detox helps you through withdrawal safely, with medical care around the clock. Residential treatment usually comes next: you live in one of our homes and take part in daily therapy to build the skills for lasting recovery.
A clinical assessment looks at your substance use, physical and mental health, withdrawal risk and situation at home. Our clinical team recommends a level of care from there and reviews it with you as you progress.
Most PPO plans, in and out of network. Medicaid and Medicare are not accepted. Coverage depends on your plan, eligibility, medical necessity and network status, so we check your benefits for free and explain any costs before you decide.
Yes. Our team can help with FMLA paperwork and short-term disability or EDD documentation. Eligibility and approval are decided by your employer, plan or the state agency, not by Serenity Moon. See FMLA & disability support.
Yes, with your permission. We involve loved ones through family therapy and education, and we share contact and visiting guidelines at admission. We only speak with family about your care if you've agreed in writing.
Federal law (HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2) and California law give substance use treatment records strong protection, and we generally share information only with your written consent. A few legal exceptions apply, such as a medical emergency, and we explain them at admission.
