About us

About Serenity Moon Recovery

We're a small, licensed home for medical detox and residential treatment. We keep it small on purpose, so the people caring for you know your name and your plan.

Our mission

Help people find lasting freedom from addiction

Serenity Moon Recovery exists to help people find meaningful, lasting freedom from addiction. We do that by creating a safe, comfortable and healing environment, staffed by skilled and compassionate clinicians, where each person receives a plan built around them.

We're a licensed residential home on a quiet street in Winnetka, in the west San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. Unlike large centers, we care for a small group of residents at a time, which allows more one-on-one attention at every stage of recovery.

What guides us

Our values

  • Dignity first

Everyone who walks through our door is treated with respect, without judgment and without shame.

  • Care built around you

No one-size-fits-all plans. Your treatment is shaped by your history, your health and your goals.

  • Medically careful

Detox and early recovery are overseen by physicians and carried out by licensed nurses on site around the clock.

  • Honest guidance

If another program would serve you better, we'll tell you plainly and help you find it.

Our story

A home, not a hospital

Serenity Moon Recovery was built on a simple idea: early recovery goes better in a calm, home-like place where people are known by name.

Residents stay in comfortable bedrooms and share bright living spaces. Our chef cooks fresh meals every day, adjusted to what each person can manage during detox. Alongside medical and clinical care, the week includes yoga, meditation and quiet time, so early recovery can include real rest.

Our approach

Medical care and therapy, working together

Care starts with a safe, medically supervised detox and continues with evidence-based therapy, family involvement and a plan for life after treatment.
